COMMUNITY OUTREACH
DC SPORTS BASKETBALL ACADEMY AFRCICA was established in 2020 with the primary objective of providing assistance, mentorship, and opportunities for young boys and girls in Cameroon, Africa who face difficult upbringings, challenging socioeconomic conditions, and a variety of other adverse circumstances.
OUR VISION
We are dedicated to empowering children through sports and education, equipping them with the skills and hope necessary for a successful future both on and off the basketball court. Our mission is to foster the development of future leaders within their communities. By promoting sports and engaging in community outreach, we aim to strengthen our collective impact and enhance the quality of life not only in Cameroon but across the entire African continent.
Our IMPACT is immeasurable. We are pleased to announce the availability of FOUR basketball scholarships for high school and college students in the United States, specifically offered to outstanding individuals from our academy.
Additionally, we are excited to share our plans for the expansion of the DC Sports Basketball Academy.
In previous years, we have supported 200 academy students by providing them with essential resources, including 200 backpacks, uniforms, basketballs, shoes, books, and training boards through generous donations.
The cost to enroll each academy student is $100.
WHAT WE DO
We plan to renovate two basketball courts and provide annual donations of supplies and sports apparel to our academy students.
- Impact the lives of 200 children and their families by offering the following support:
- One meal per day for all our academy students
- Water and electrolyte beverages
- 300 backpacks
- 300 basketball uniforms
- 300 basketballs
- 300 pairs of shoes
- 300 pairs of socks
- 200 training cones
- 10 basketball nets
- 10 coaching boards
- Free admission to movie nights and snacks
- Educational books to promote learning
- One complimentary haircut per month to foster a positive self-image
